And He said to them, Come after Me [as disciples—letting Me be your Guide], .follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!
Matthew 4:19

This subject is hard for me to broach because it is close to my emotional self and can be a place of pain. However, the only way to overcome it is to talk about it and expose it to the light of God.

I remember just the other day that I was sharing how I overcame the thought of committing suicide. Yes, this holy ghost filled, water baptized, tongue talking preacher! Once struggled with suicide on a daily basis, and even came very close to following through on it.

The year was 1991; I was a police officer, and my life was in an uproar, and the walls were closing in on me, I felt trapped. My watch captain was not one that related well to those under his command. He was not the type that offered advice or showed that he was concerned, in fact, it was just the opposite. All he was concerned about was putting people on the street, to ensure the daily requirement of officers on patrol. I do not know maybe he had his demons to contend with, and if he showed compassion, it would make him seem vulnerable.

It seemed as though I was all alone, abandoned by the very one’s that claimed to love me. Maybe that was the problem; I don’t ever recall being told by my mother that she loved or appreciated my successes in life. My father wasn’t active in my life, so I never had the heart to heart from a father to a son or son to father. When I graduated from high school, there were no speeches on what to expect or what would lurk in the shadows. The lack warning would be the set up for the many mistakes I would make in my life. At the time, and even the earlier years life was tough; it seemed that the choices I made were all wrong.

I was so desirous to be loved that I ran from the arms of one woman to the next, falling in infatuation, because I never had a true reference point or true picture of love. Very immature, and brokenhearted as a previous girlfriend had moved from the west coast to the east coast. I found myself involved in an office fling with a female colleague that turned into a marriage that should have never taken place.

You see I was a carnal-minded Christian, that felt it was alright to enjoy the delights of the female body and still attend Sunday service, Bible studies, and other events, acting like nothing was wrong. Caught up in a whirlwind of mistakes, I became afraid to move, or make a competent decision in fear of being pulled deeper into despair. It was this and many other events that brought me to the breaking point. I heard voices telling me no one cared, and no one would miss me. Then it happened I broke down on the job; I found myself sobbing uncontrollably to the point that my watch captain advised that I turn my duty weapon in and go home for the day.

The only problem with his decision was that he forgot to ask for my off duty weapon; on my drive home, every emotional hurt that I had experienced in life seemed to resurface at that very moment. Arriving at home, I parked and exited my car, made the ascent up the stairs and into my apartment, with every step I became angrier, at God perhaps, most certainly at my parents for not preparing me for life. All I wanted to do was to make someone feel my pain; I wanted them to know that their lack of love, attention or direction destroyed my life or what I what I thought my life was supposed to be.

Let me stop here for just a minute to tell you that life without preparation, direction, and guidance is the battleground of the enemy, and it is here in most scenarios if no one should come along to offer help, the enemy wins. I didn’t know anything about life; balancing a checkbook, caring for my credit, managing money, women, being a father or even being a man.

I never fully understood my parents, my mother whom never talked about her childhood with my siblings and I, my father was absent I knew nothing of him or his family dynamics, though I spent my sophomore year of high school living with his mother and stepfather my grandparents. It would not be until some years later and after my mother’s death that I’d come to know the reasons she never discussed her life as a child. As for my father, I’ve yet to have that deep conversation and to this day wonder what he experienced as a young man growing up.

You see to understand the dynamics; you would have to study our culture, it is one of secrecy and cover up or gloss over; at least, that has been my experience. As a boy growing up, I longed for my father or a father figure, of which I had for the first 12 years of life. It was in the person of my grandfather James Lacey while we never went fishing, hunting or ball games it was just a joy having him around. We would on occasions get in his car and go for rides; he’d stop and get a beer and wrap it in a brown paper bag. He would let me have a sip or two and always told me; don’t let your grandmother know I gave you some of my beer. I thought he was just the coolest thing walking on two legs, in a matter of words he was my hero. It was the time spent with him, cutting his lawn or washing his car that seemed to overshadow all of the turmoil that I was feeling at a young age.

The Bible speaks of raising children in numerous passages because God sees us as children though we live our lives for some into what we consider old age. God never meant anyone to meander through life aimlessly, in fact, it is supposed to be just the opposite. Life is supposed to be alive and fulfilling, building, helping, pursuing. But for sin, a great many never come to this realization.

Back to that day, now inside my apartment, I looked around as if to be taking in my last look at my life as if to say goodbye to the inanimate objects that sat lifeless on the tables and counters. I remember looking in the refrigerator; maybe I wanted the last meal before the self-inflicted execution. This recount is from over 20 years ago, so it’s a bit sketchy. I do however remember that tears continued to stream down my face as I sat down on that white couch and took my gun out of my ankle holster, lay it on the coffee table. It was a Smith & Wesson nickel plated 9mm model 5906 with a 13 round magazine; as I sat there continuing to sob, I looked around one last time. I grabbed the gun and racked a round into the chamber; I told God I was sorry. It seemed just then I heard the voice of God tell me to call my grandmother. I knew it was God because a strange feeling came over me.

I laid the gun down on the coffee table in front of me, walked over to the phone on the counter which separated the kitchen from the living room. Picked up the telephone, dialed my grandmother’s number; and you can’t possibly image all that was going through my mind at the time. After a couple of rings, she answered the phone. Holding back the tears, I said “grandma” yes she replied, “I’m calling to say goodbye.” A brief silence and the next words spoken resonated in my spirit to a particular place, she said: “Baby don’t do it.” Now I don’t know about you, but you couldn’t have told me for all of the gold in the world that these four simple words would be what was needed to prevent a loss of life. I dropped the telephone and cried until my eyes were swollen shut.

From that day until now I have never contemplated or toyed with this as a means of curing my ills. Has life been better, not always, but nothing to the extent of ending my life, that day the demon of suicide was defeated and purged from my spirit!

The moral of this very true story; someone that we may or may not know is suffering from some emotional pain and like me may not know how to fish (fend for themselves). If we take the time to look around, we will see those people out there. They are the ones that feel ignored, isolated. The ones that never get the invite to the latest happening don’t have a host of friends and in most cases are estranged from family. If we can look beyond our struggles and reach out to them and share genuine love, it might be the day you speak four simple words to save a life. Might I suggest that those words be “God does love you.” God bless all that read this post I hope it speaks to your spirit.

Not place he wanted to be

Not the place he wanted to be

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

It has been quite some time since I’ve posted on this blog; you might say that I had to take a long hard look at my condition.  I am not immune to the emotional or psychological pain that many feel due to past hurts and failures of life. So in writing this piece I want to capture the raw emotion to make you feel what many experiences on a daily basis; which causes them to turn to mind altering substances to cover their pain.

Living in the United States of America is to live in one of the wealthiest countries on earth. The problem with this sentence is that we lack the compassion to match our financial prowess. In a country so full of resources, there is no reason to have its people living on the streets in squalor, yet it is the case in every major city. The powers to be will tell you that they’re all mentally ill and should be doped until they are rendered harmless.  If you could spend a day talking with some of these people, none would have envisioned their future, sleeping on urine and feces-laden sidewalks in or on cardboard boxes. Nor would they have in envisioned a life of drug abuse, prostitution, and many other things just to survive each day.

Every person out there and some on their way had dreams of a future indifferent to their current situation. I just cannot believe as children they sat around thinking; when I become an adult, I’m going to be homeless and strung out on drugs or maybe even an alcoholic. Maybe I’ll lie down and let countless men and women have their way with me. Maybe I’ll ascribe to a life of crime, robbing and burglarizing to feed my drug habit. If not for the grace (power) of God there go I; is what I find myself saying from time to time. You see, I very well could have been one of these people. I had every reason to fail and not many at all to succeed. As a child growing up, I saw nothing but violence in the home of my upbringing.

I remember vividly hearing my grandparents argue one day when I was about five years of age, and seeing my grandmother grabbing her favorite instrument of pain (knife), to inflict physical pain somewhere upon the body of my grandfather. I remember hearing my grandfather scream my grandmother’s name, and say tell her that she had cut him as the blood ran profusely down his arm. I remember the fear that this one act of aggression embedded in me and the tears that streamed down my young face.  As I saw the man, I was immensely fond of and also my best friend in the whole world whence in pain. More importantly, the fear in his eyes when he realized he couldn’t stop the bleeding. About that time my grandmother realizing what she had done, begin to sob and say what have I done, what have I done? She then ran into the bathroom, to get bandages, gauze and ointment from the medicine cabinet to play the doctor on the wound that she had inflicted.

Back then just about every household or, at least, the ones that I visited had a white wash basin with the red trim on its top. I watched as she wrapped his arm in gauze and bandages, telling my grandfather that he shouldn’t have made her mad. I got mad and wanted to give her a piece of my mind that she was wrong, but what could a five-year-old kid say to an adult woman?  I was afraid and didn’t want to get cut like granddad. At that moment, I hated her with all of the hatred I could muster in my little mind. How dare she hurt my best friend? As I sat there watching my grandfather soak his arm in that basin full of ice water I hurt inside but had no one to talk to, so I covered it up with thoughts of better days.

The point of this story is to make you aware that events in the lives of people can make them turn to drinking, drug abuse or many other things to mask the emotional and psychological pain and scars from their past. Placing labels upon people, because you may not have experienced their pain or understand their condition is a cop out and a retreat from responsibility, to love thy neighbor as thyself. It just escapes me how people can see someone in need, and just walk by them as if they do not exist. It is a cruel world out there, but you have to expect the world to be selfish, and uncaring; what’s most unfortunate is that a lot of the blind eye attitude today is by those in the church (The Body of Christ).

We’re so busy arguing about doctrinal differences that we can’t see the decay that is encroaching upon our borders. The church (The Ecclesia), is duty bound to protect and support those organizations that lend aid to the less fortunate. As soldiers, we were put here to defend against and have an obligation to watch for the encroachment of the enemy forces upon territory assigned to our charge.  To control, and even times necessary to engage the enemy in combat. Where the church has fallen short is recognizing the advancement of the hostile forces upon the sovereign territory of the mind, which is that sovereign territory that belongs to God. The consciousness of the church has become filled with frivolous unyielding projects, to make one busy and proverbially spinning its wheels. Revivals, mega-this mega-that events, promised to deliver the attendees from the challenges of life. When the only thing they’re rid of is those hard earned dollars which could be given to someone in a downtrodden state, who find themselves having to eat out of garbage cans to survive; lest we not speak of the saints that are just barely staying afloat.

In the Book of Galatians chapter 6:10 it speaks there, and I paraphrase to do good to everyone, especially those of the household of faith. If we are blindly ignoring those closest to us, it’s no wonder why there are so many people on the street. My heart mourns for those on the street, and even those that have to resort to illegal methods to survive.  I remember as a little boy watching a commercial of a Native American shedding tears as he observed the land he loved, being destroyed by pollution. I shed that same tear(s), for the lack of love demonstrated by the church, I would scream too the top of my lungs if it would change the direction of people; so I’ve resorted to writing in hopes that these words will inspire others to the call to action.

So in closing, again the question I ask you; ARE WE OUR BROTHERS KEEPER?

Backwards_Forwards_by_kegonomics  32 Meanwhile, some were shouting one thing and some another, because the assembly was in confusion, and most of them did not know why they had come together. Acts 19:32

We are living in a time filled with much uncertainty, chaos and confusion. In fact, everything is backwards, let me explain. Today up is down, down is up, left is right, right is left, forward is backwards and backwards is forward, good is bad, and bad is good. Let me go a step further; imagine that you’re in this gigantic room that is brightly lit, having several entrances and exits, and there are a host people inside the room almost innumerable. Imagine that all of a sudden the lights go out and you hear over the loud speaker for everyone to head towards the nearest exit. Oh, that is no problem, you might think to yourself, ok it’s so dark in the room you can’t even see your hand in front of your face. Now how do you navigate to an exit to secure your safety?

This room is the heart of man and the time that we live in, the bright light is God, and he is being removed from the room. What we are left to contend with is a depressed state of mind. This world has always been wicked, at least after the fall of man in the garden. There was a time when men retained the knowledge of God in their hearts and often found themselves in church or synagogue after committing a sin, and thinking this would somehow cleanse them of their sin.

It is this practice that has led us to this current day; why do I say that? Well, each generation is responsible for their successors, meaning that our parents set us up for this time and theirs for their time and so forth and so on.

I am amazed at this generation’s fascination with the images of death, skulls, snakes; upside down crosses, curse words, on their clothes as if these badges of honor. Lest we do not get into the conversation about tattoos; people have lost their minds and are covering their bodies with just about everything imaginable, and every phrase under the sun, and even some that we have not identified. Nothing questioned as it pertains to its origin or validity, and people are following each other into whatever seems to feel or right, a sure sign of confusion.

We should expect this type of action from the world that is dark, but these things are happening in the church as well. Homosexuals are claiming that their lifestyle is good in the sight of God, ordaining themselves, as Bishops, Apostles and the like. Truly this is the last and evil days, and we are rapidly approaching the rapture of the church from the earth. I pray that I am in this number when the trumpet sounds. To be left here afterwards will not be a good thing according to The Book of Revelation chapter 13. Life is going to be extremely hard for those unbelievers converted to Christianity. In chapter 14 their work will not be in vain. In fact, anyone left here after that time will be considered to be tribulation saints dying as martyrs, laying face up having their heads cut off. The very thought of this type of punishment should be enough to scare the “hell,” out of a person and cause them to want to change, but we know many will play it out all the way to the very end!

I don’t want to give the impression that everything is gloom and doom and no way out or safety because there is a way. What needs to happen at this point is the church needs to take a hard look at its practices, and the leaders must revamp the direction of their congregations. It cannot be about riches; it has to be about souls and only souls. That means titles have to be second to the mission; love is the most important aspect of our mission on earth. Jesus said if we love him; we would keep his commandments.

Search your heart, give hope another chance and love your neighbor. It begins with the person in the mirror; recognize your value and then you’ll see the value in others. We know that we win so let us start the work again until the end; PEACE AND BLESSINGS!

Hour Glass3

And there shall be … upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; … Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth.” Luke 21:25, 26

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment (Rom. 13:1, 2).

Declare these things; exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you. Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for any honest work . . . (Titus 2:15-3:1).
Life as we know it seems to be coming apart at the proverbial seams; every time one turns on the television another tragic event has taken place.

The result is chaos and confusion, and people are either walking around in a state of dismay or a heightened state anger. Most recently another young black man Fredrick Gray dies while in the custody of police officers in Baltimore, Maryland. As you might guess violence, erupts and rioting ensues. The end times destruction machine is being fed, and men are coming under the influence of its power, reacting out of psychological hurts, pains, and frustrations. The first thing questioned is the presence of God and why this thing continues to happen. There are no perfect responses to this question; it would only serve to feed into another question and those asking would never be satisfied; because they’ve made up in their minds that this is an attack on a race of people and not man.

Everyone is failing to see that most people are receiving their information through Social Media, network news, print media; all of which have the propensity to be tainted by the persons telling the story.  Few ever consider the agenda of those that employ this trickery on a daily basis; you could say a tail bearing spirit is working hard to deceive the masses. In comparison, the US Army has a unit known as the PSYOPSDIV or (psychological operation division) which deploys propaganda leaflets to depose the leaders of that country, torture its inhabitants by playing loud music and shining bright lights all hours of the night.  The function of this unit is to create mistrust and fear amongst the civilian population before any grounds forces engaging in combat.

Every day reporters share stories of death and destruction; 7.8 earthquake hits Nepal death toll sitting at 8500+ people killed, reports say could be as many as 10,000 when it is all said and done. Calbuco Volcano that has been dormant for over forty-seven years erupts in Chile,` severe weather and heavy rain possible in the area threatens to cause massive mudslides. Economies are failing, ISIS killing Christians, men’s hearts failing them for fear, and so on and so forth.

The time is not long; the handwriting is on the wall! The Bible records that the love of many will wax cold, which means there is no longer any value in life.  People care only about themselves and aren’t concerned with their fellow man.  Skulls and crossbones pepper the landscape and the bodies of men, women boys and girls in the form of tattoos, the symbols of destruction, not many seems to be paying attention. In fact, one could even support the argument that man has been struck with blindness, spiritually but blindness all the same.

To add insult to injury the church lies dormant and unresponsive, truly we’re in the Laodicean age. The framework of Love is being torn down and removed from the earth; darkness its evil twin is moving in and taking its place. This downward spiral didn’t just start we’ve been on this gradual slide for approximately the last forty years. While we have been preaching buying and selling; naming and claiming, go and get your house, car, and land the enemy has been acquiring territory.

In the Books of Daniel and Revelation, this time, is clearly spelled out for all to see, yet the watering down of the word has indeed put many Christians to sleep, or as the Bible says deceived. Our only hope is to unify with haste, and that means tearing down the walls of Jericho that keeps us divided and hindered. If there was ever a time to take an active look at our dividing lines, now is the time! We can no longer uphold the age-old traditions and should sincerely seek the face of God.  The world and many in the Body of Christ are becoming anti-God, most certainly building a foundation for the entrance of the anti-Christ. We know that time is coming and already is here where men are following every whim of doctrine. There is even a quote from the Pope;
“The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists. Everyone! And this Blood makes us children of God of the first class! We have created children in the likeness of God, and the Blood of Christ has redeemed us all! And we all have a duty to do good. And this commandment for everyone to do good, I think, is a beautiful path towards peace. If we, each doing our part, do good to others, if we meet there, doing good, and go slowly, gently, little by little, we will make that culture of encounter that so much. We must meet one another doing good. ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ But do good: we will meet one another there.”

I truly love God and my neighbor, I feel a burning desire to go to the mountain top and scream to the top of my voice “WAKE UP,” the sands of time are ebbing away!!!

Peace and Blessings
Apostle Kiplon L. Taylor

Multi-directionTherefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, 3 diligently keeping the unity of  the Spirit with the peace that binds us.

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s  Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.

14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the
waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.

15 But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.
 Ephesians 4:1-3, 13-16

Multi-tasking, multi-directions, doing my own thing; as the song penned by Frank Sinatra suggests, “I Did It My Way”. This is the mantra of many in  the world today. Many seems to think that they can do better individually,  than they can working together with others. Yet, we continue to grow farther apart as the divide widens. Satan has many weapons. He is currently using isolation as a means of further dividing the masses. Have you noticed, that whereas we were once a people concerned about our fellow man, the current spiritual climate we find ourselves in is fragmented and uncaring?

I can recall a time when community was a big thing. We had block parties, neighborhood get-togethers, parties in the park, barbecues, pool parties, it was such fun. We really had a, “lets all just get along” mentality. Today folk are drawn away to themselves and everyone has an iPod, hisPod, mePod, yourPod, Facebook or Twitter mentality, failing to see that forces are working to separate us. We are under attack!!

The US Army has a division known for its deployment of psychological warfare, some of the tactics employed are use of loud music, bright lights, propaganda, leaflets, false information released through media; just to name a few. Isn’t it rather peculiar that  the enemy is attacking man through the same pathways? One can only draw a conclusion that we are at war!

From birth until the day that you take your last breath, fighting will be a part of your life. We can learn how to live peaceably in a hostile environment and this happens when we flood the minefield of life with the Agape love of God. That means, we must learn the art of spiritual warfare; first is humility, second is seeking God for the right direction because there are many paths out there with traps set to lead you astray.  Thirdly too turn away, (repent) from the things that you know are not pleasing to God. These acts make you a vessel ready for a Holy visitation, God sees your heart is turned towards Him and that you are trusting in his ability to deliver you.

You then become marketable for use for the Kingdom of Heaven, it has been done before and can be done again if we simply believe. On the day of Pentecost it was accomplished, on the day that you heard or shall hear it is accomplished. If I can borrow a line spoken in a popular television show of the 80′s ” I love it when a plan comes together”. Teamwork makes the plan work!!

Bright Light1 Why do the nations assemble with commotion [uproar and confusion of voices], and why do the people imagine (meditate upon and devise) an empty scheme?
2 The kings of the earth take their places; the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed One (the Messiah, the Christ). They say,
3 Let us break their bands [of restraint] asunder and cast their cords [of control] from us.

Psalm 2:1-3 AMP

Have you ever inadvertently looked into a bright light and experienced an excruciating pain that it causes?  Ever notice after that experience, that you can still see the negative effects of the light, appearing to be in front of you, long after it’s off or you’ve looked away?

I’m not a doctor. However, let me try to explain that experience. Our pupils are responsible for the amount of light that enters the eyes. Too much light causes the pupils to constrict, adjust, and allow only the necessary light. The opposite occurs, when light levels are minimal; our pupils open wider to allow more light. Essentially, the fleeting blindness we experience when we look into a bright light happens because our pupils are caught off guard, and are unable to constrict quickly enough. The effect of the light is similar to that of a film’s negative. Now if you were born after 1990, you may be lost here which can linger for several minutes after the event.

This is a metaphor of what the world experiences when the Shekinah Glory of God reflects from His chosen ones. It causes a “blindness” of their spiritual eyes. It is too bright for those in the world! Just as you and I would do naturally and shield our eyes from the bright light, so the world runs from or attempts to shield itself from the light of God.

The world (system of government and way of life for the unsaved) does everything within its power to exclude the light of God from their operating arena. Fifty years ago, Madalyn Murray O’Hair successfully argued before the Supreme Court, in Murray v. Curlett, for the suspending of Bible reading to children in public schools. This decision came one year after another landmark decision, Engel v. Vitale, which called for any prayer, which made reference to Almighty God, to be taken out of public schools.  Since those two landmark decisions, our public schools have become increasingly dangerous, our children more difficult to instruct, and the campuses have become breeding grounds for gangs, and riddled with drugs, guns and school shootings.

It is a known fact that when the element of light is removed from a space, that space reverts to darkness. The world is such a space. The fall of man in the garden was the catalyst for the dark world we now call home.  God is now, and was then, well aware of Satan’s devices. Some would argue that point, or deny the fact that the world is on its way out.

In the cult favorite movie Gremlins, we see the effects of light being removed. Gizmo the Mogwai could not stand to be in the bright light, and would cower in its presence. He was thought to be a soft cuddly creature, but lurking under that cute exterior lie a raging monster, capable of destruction and murder.

This same attitude or character is in those that fail to understand the power of the light, and flee the power of its presence.  Jesus declared in Matthew 9:37 that the harvest is plenteous but the labourers are few; the world cannot be expected to correct its own actions and this is where you and I come in.

We, the chosen are the bearers of Gods Shekinah Glory and are expected by reason to cause a change in the atmosphere, according to Matthew 5:16. Light is the greatest power that has ever and will always exist. We are Gods change agents, our purpose is to flood the earth with his light and cause those living in darkness to receive sight.  I encourage all that read this blog to look within yourselves, too determine your station in this world; there are only two powers in this world, light and dark the choice is yours.

soldierssleepingsleeping_soldier36 You must be like people waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once. 37 Those slaves the master will find alert when he comes will be blessed. I assure you: He will get ready, have them recline at the table, then come and serve them. 38 If he comes in the middle of the night, or even near dawn, and finds them alert, those slaves are blessed. 39 But know this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40 You also be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.” Luke 12:36-40

We are living in a time when people all over the earth are in a state sleepwalking with both eyes and ears open; yet do not seem to be working. It is as if they’ve been hypnotized or lulled into some type of trance by all of the noise in the atmosphere; this noise can be deemed as white noise.

White noise is a new phenomenon to the untrained ear, it sounds like static. However, to the trained ear it is known not be static, but recognized as a signal where a message can be hid. It is often times used for a specific purpose; those using it are cloaked in secrecy. White noise is actually a specific signal generated from a directed source. In other words this noise is being put in the atmosphere is by a sinister source. If you’re spiritually in tune, the source should come as no surprise, its satan the character formally known as the prince of the air.

This noise is responsible for various types of behaviors, gross violence against one another, perverted styles of living by men and women. However what we are focusing on in this blog is that fact that no one is cognizant of their surroundings, many are oblivious to what is taking place. This white noise is so powerful people are convinced that nothing has changed; it is as if we’re still in the days of black and white television, the good old days of wholesome living; The Andy Griffith Show, country living, fresh air breathing. The aroma of hot apple pie cooling on the window seal, a very dangerous posture.

Let me explain where I’m going with this line of thought, being born in the sixties everything presented itself as wholesome, from television to radio and many other forms of entertainment. Yes we thought those were the days and the best of times, yet even then that white noise was present. There were the bans issued by the Supreme Court to remove prayer from schools, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the civil rights protest and the anti-war protest against the war in Vietnam. In 1968 the assassination of Attorney General, and presidential candidate Robert Kennedy and that of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. It left everyone numb from the events yet within a short time everyone would return to the normalcy of that time.  Now read below the definition of white noise garnered from the internet;

An infinite-bandwidth white noise signal is a purely theoretical construction. The bandwidth of white noise is limited in practice by the mechanism of noise generation, by the transmission medium and by finite observation capabilities. Thus, a random signal is considered “white noise” if it is observed to have a flat spectrum over the range of frequencies that is relevant to the context. For an audio signal, for example, the relevant range is the band of audible sound frequencies, between 20 to 20,000 Hz. Such a signal is heard as a hissing sound, resembling the /sh/ sound in “ash”. In music and acoustics, the term white noise may be used for any signal that has a similar hissing sound. White noise draws its name from white light, which is commonly (but incorrectly) assumed to have a flat spectral power density over the visible band. The term white noise is sometimes used in the context of phylogenetically based statistical methods to refer to a lack of phylogenetic pattern in comparative data. It is sometimes used in non- technical contexts, in the metaphoric sense of “random talk without meaningful contents”.

This definition is very technical and I am neither a scientist nor a researcher of this information. No I’m just a man that is wondering if I’m the only one that sees what is taking place. There are two specific phrases within this definition that captured my attention “heard as a hissing sound,” and “random talk without meaningful contents.” Remember that Adam and Eve were mesmerized (seduced) by a slick talking snake in the garden with hissing and random talk without meaningful content. Such is the case today and if savvy we see that nothing has changed, he is using the same old tricks just a bit more sophisticated. The masses have unknowingly fallen victim to the white noise, produced out of satan, who has transformed himself into and angel of light. He comes in the form of racist talk show host that call themselves Christians, notable men and women of God more interested in reality television shows than allowing their light to shine toward the masses.

In this blog I have used pictures of US Soldiers sleeping, not to defame them but to rather bring home the point that we are all sleeping on duty, Christian and non-Christian alike and it is for this reason that the return of Jesus, will be like a thief breaking into the homes of many while they lay fast asleep at night.

Let us take a look at some of the things that have changed, today it seems to be the norm rather than the bazaar; homosexuality, the pagan ritual of tattooing one’s body, casual sex, provocative dressing (leaving nothing to the imagination), child molestation, pornography, human trafficking for sexual slave trade, crimes committed by those sworn to uphold the law, twisted courtroom decisions, murder at an alarming rate, all of which is spoken against in the Bible. The world literally is going to hell in a hand basket.  We’ve allowed to much compromising and it has weakened our stance. Most certainly when we look at the Book of Ezekiel 33; where we that are Christian are called to be the watchmen sent to sound the alarm. From where I stand, the watch tower has been abandoned, and or the sentry is fast asleep after a night of fast living.

With no one on duty, to get the attention or raise awareness, the question is how many people, will senselessly perish that didn’t have to? Wake up soldiers, wake up warfare fighters. Wake up before it is to late because the great falling away is upon us.  My heart is heavy for all that I see, is there anyone at all that cares, will you join me in this fight? I need help building the coalition against the enemy which means titles cannot be important in this juncture, souls are perishing. It is no longer about swelling the numbers of congregations, with sit and do nothing attitudes is sending folks to a fiery hell! It is time for war!!!!!!!

Disparity & Indifference

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,  unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

This is one of the hardest pieces that I have ever had to write, and I find that I’m very emotional at the moment. When I began writing this blog I wanted to solely focus on the events of the last days and that according to the word of God. I never wanted to write about current events from a secular standpoint, because there are enough people doing that and it is not my assignment.

I did not want to write about Trayvon Martin, not because his death is not important, but because there have been so many Trayvon’ that never got their names in the news. In most cases their assailants looked just like them and it would not have been news worthy about blacks killing blacks, at least not to the extent of the case of George Zimmerman.

Invoking these like scenarios does not diminish the Martin family pain, nor does it alleviate the pain of those other families that suffered the same loss.  But what is important here is that no one needs to suffer this kind of loss.

Let me tell you a story out of my own past; 1977 my family moved to Las Vegas, NV, boy was that something we did not expect, it was hotter than Haiti’s and I knew absolutely no one. After getting settled in and experiencing the outdoors for the first time and feeling the Vegas heat we began meeting the kids in the neighborhood. We met the people across the street the Nicosia’s who in turn introduced us to the Smith’s and Jeff Smith in particular, it would turn out that he was a cool guy on his way to the 12th grade at the high school that I would be attending in the fall; Eldorado High School located at the base of Sunrise Mountain (property owned by famed actress Fay Wray). Jeff was responsible for getting me a tryout with the Sun Devils varsity football team and I will forever be indebted to him. What I didn’t know is he was one of the leaders on the team and a star corner back highly regarded by other teams and respected by all of our classmates and faculty. Not to mention being a good student.

Jeff would go one to graduate class of 1978, with a full ride scholarship to then Southern Utah State, wow what an accomplishment I thought to myself.  Something I thought that I’d never be able to do. Back then and even now I live in the shadow of others accomplishments. I went on to graduate in the following year class of 1979 and joined the U.S. Navy. I realized something about my friend during the short time we had together, he was very concerned that everyone reached their potential and I can only imagine this was a trait passed down by his own father, who that time was an active member of the U.S. Air force, stationed at Nellis Air Force Base.

Jeff was the consummate big brother to all of us kids in the neighborhood, and we all looked up to him. I remember vividly as we would be out in the street playing football and when he threw the football left handed even it would whistle from the force and strength of this young man. What was important in our relationship is that I always wanted a big brother, really a father but would settle for a brother and Jeff became just that.

I had been the Navy for a year stationed in San Diego, CA and Jeff away at college in Utah for two years, and we would see each other whenever he came home on break from school and me from the military. I really loved this guy as my brother, but in the spring of 1981 something terrible happened and only getting the facts after the fact the rest of what I’m sharing is sketchy. I understand that Jeff was home on spring break from college and enjoying the family and down time but Jeff would always be Jeff and stepped into his role as the neighborhood big brother. I was told that some of the young men in our North Las Vegas neighborhood trying to form a gang had went to the McDonalds just outside if our sub-division and gotten involved in a fight with some Mexican guys also at the McDonalds on North Las Vegas Blvd. It was pretty bad I was told, and that the police were called.

No one woulHearse and Casket in Heavend be ready for the fire storm that was brewing as these guys wanted revenge, so when the guys from my neighborhood left the McDonalds and came back home they were followed by the equivalent of what amounted to a Hispanic gang, and the fighting would start all over again. This time though it would end in tragedy. Jem told he grabbed one of the Hispanic gang members, who turned in fervor and without looking stabbed him in his chest, piercing his heart with a hunting knife and killing him. There, that night the promise of us all of knowing someone that was destined to be a star in the NFL, among other things screamed as I was told so loud, that it could be heard for blocks. Dropped dead, and everyone was lost in silence as our friend and big brother lie dead in the street with a knife protruding from his chest. Ironically, I was in San Diego at the time this was taking place and was having the one heck of a time trying to sleep and in fact never slept that entire night.

My greatest fear would be realized as my mother made an emergency phone call the next morning, as I ran down to the central office of my barracks complex to take the call, thinking that something was wrong with my immediate family. I was met with the sobbing voice of my mother on the other end of the phone, after calming her down she told me that Jeff had been killed the night before; just then my whole world stopped. Not a sound or any movement was around I felt catapulted in a place of pain that I’d never known as I slid down the wall and tears began to uncontrollably stream down my face, my best friend and brother was gone. I remember coming home for the funeral and looking as the entire cemetery was full of people, you see this guy was somebody special, as are all of our fallen young men. That has died senselessly at the hands of others that give it no thought or thought that their actions were justified for one reason or another.

Now it has been quite a few years since that fateful night and morning, but even now as I’m writing the tears are again streaming down my face. Such a promise had been taken from us and we will never know what Jeff Smith would have accomplished and I know that his natural sisters and brothers miss him even the more.

You see the point of telling this story is to show that this thing happens all too often and we are losing far too many sons to this street violence at the hands of people that have decided that it’s their right to deprive others of life. What we’re all failing to see here is this thing emanates out of the spiritual realm, and you can say that I’m trying to spiritualize the Martin killing and I say you are 100% correct. This death or taking of these young men lives is from the pit of hell and does not need to happen.

I want to issue a challenge to all that shall read this and most certainly the fathers out there. Take your sons and those boys in the neighborhood that you know have no father in their lives and mentor them into being positive and productive member of society. No one else is going to do it for us it is most certainly not the government or police responsibility, nor do we need to look to those in the celebrity life for direction. This is a time for action from the church in a whole, I mean the church the Body of Christ every race, creed and ethnicity.

This is also an opportunity for the African American culture to step up and learn to walk together, building upon the success of our fallen trumpeter Rev, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who preached non-violence, the message of Agape love.  The indifference that we suffer as a race of people continues because we allow it and are resistant to change. When we learn to walk together lack of equality, that others try and smear us with will mean absolutely nothing and no other child or young man or woman will lose their life!!!!!

28 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son tomorrow. 29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.  2KINGS 6:28-29

Today one would be hard pressed not to see that times have changed, and that the Bible is being fulfilled as stated in 2 Timothy 3, that the last days would be very dangerous (perilous) even, and it is most certainly true.

What is really saddening is that the dangerous place spoken of in the Bible is not where you might expect that it would be. It is not the cold cruel world, which has always been that way; no it may come by surprise that the dangerous place is the house of prayer. With recent reports of gunfire in numerous churches and people being murdered, armor bearers required to be armed.

What is going on? It is not the “bringing in the sheep, we’ll come rejoicing;” party that was once where everyone met to discuss this committee or that and the various events. It is no longer even a reverence for God and church from the world, with drugs being sold on the steps of the church buildings and a common meeting place for juvenile gangs to meet consume beer, alcohol, smoke weed and carouse with underage girls that lied to their parents to get out of the house.

Yes, this is the place that we claim the Holy Ghost resides, really? Violence, sexual immorality, homosexuality and lesbianism, theft of church funds, and those are just the things that we know about.

two dogs fightingThe church house is to be a place a faith, prayer, deliverance, freedom and safe haven from the cold cruel world, yet it has become a place of famine and the congregates are beginning to attack one another as in the opening scripture. As we read 2 Kings 6, we find that times were very hard and food was scarce, so some turned to cannibalism and would eat their young, becoming animalistic.

This is most certainly not the church that Jesus spoke of when He said “greater works shall we do,” why is this happening, you might be asking? There are a host of reasons that can be blamed for the weakened state of the church, one could be that the preached word is not being preached with any power or is not a word that is given from the Holy Ghost. But rather from men that do not themselves have the indwelling or presence of the Holy Ghost in their own lives and are simply relying on schemes and lofty ideas.

Jesus, speaking to the disciples after his resurrection, left us with hope by telling us all that we would be able to do.  However we know that the original church came under great persecution and was forced underground and was replaced by men implanted by Satan to lead man astray and into a weakened state. This has been accomplished by the enemy transforming himself into an angel of light deceiving the masses, by denominationalism, infighting about doctrinal differences, whether one should or shouldn’t be baptized just to name a few.

Now with all of this being said, does not mean that there is no hope for the church. I truly believe that we are to fight through the assault against the church and work to come to a common understanding and walk in the “Spirit of Unity and Cooperation,” as written in the One Hundred and Thirty Third division of the Psalms. It is the only way that we are not the Church of Laodicea, with a lot of people and no power. I plead with the leaders of the Body of Christ to be humble and make every effort to bring the church together so that we can engage the enemy, because we have so many souls to fight for and it would be a travesty to lose one soul because of indifference.

Remember we are watchmen, sent to sound the alarm, and sound it we must!!!! Peace and blessing to all that will read this blog.

013When the Lord gives you rest from your pain, torment, and the hard labor you were forced to do, you will sing this song of contempt about the king of Babylon and say: How the oppressor has quieted down, and how the raging has become quiet! The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers. It struck the peoples in anger with unceasing blows. It subdued the nations in rage with relentless persecution. All the earth is calm and at rest; people shout with a ringing cry. Even the cypresses and the cedars of Lebanon rejoice over you: ” Sheol below is eager to greet your coming. all the rulers of the earth. He makes all the kings of the nations rise from their thrones. 10 They all respond to you, saying: You too have become as weak as we are; you have become like us! 11 Your splendor has been brought down to Sheol, along with the music of your harps. Maggots are spread out under you, ” 12 Shining morning star, how you have fallen from the heavens! You destroyer of nations, you have been cut down to the ground. 13 You said to yourself: I will ascend to the heavens; I will set up my throne above the stars of God. assembly, in the remotest parts of the North.14 I will ascend above the highest clouds; ” 15 But you will be brought down to Sheol into the deepest regions of the Pit. 16 Those who see you will stare at you; they will look closely at you: Is this the man who caused the earth to tremble, who shook the kingdoms, 17 who turned the world into a wilderness, who destroyed its cities and would not release the prisoners to return home?” 18 All the kings of the nations lie in splendor, each in his own tomb. 19 But you are thrown out without a grave, like a worthless branch, covered by those slain with the sword and dumped into a rocky pit like a trampled corpse. 20 You will not join them in burial, because you destroyed your land and slaughtered your own people. The offspring of evildoers will never be remembered. 21 Prepare a place of slaughter for his sons, because of the iniquity of their fathers. They will never rise up to possess a land or fill the surface of the earth with cities.  Isaiah 14:3-21

As a little boy I eagerly awaited the Saturday afternoon sci-fi horror theater, I remember such cult classics as “The Creature from the Black Lagoon,” “The Thing,” and many more. There is one that stuck out in particular; entitled “The Blob,” which originally was shown in theaters in 1958 and later aired on television in the mid 60’s.

The storyline is that a meteor fell from the sky and landed on the property of an old man or farmer. The old man would go and investigate the falling star that fell onto his property.  He cracked the meteor open and probed it with a stick, which would prove a very costly endeavor that would ultimately mean the loss of his life. He would find that the meteor contained a gelatinous being, as the being would slide down the stick and onto his hand consuming first his hand and then his entire body.  The being would consume everything in its path, whether plant or carbon based entity, including man or beast seemingly moving at an unstoppable pace. The more it ate the faster it moved and larger it became. At the time this movie was made Hollywood lacked the technology of today and used rudimentary tactics to convey the thoughts of the writer, it truly was a cult classic. The screenplay and storyline does have a familiarity about it and could be compared to one out of the Bible; as a favorite line from the television police drama Dragnet, the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

There was a man named Adam that was placed in a Garden called Eden and he would encounter a fallen star from heaven that would ultimately consume him, his wife and children allowing the darkness from that fallen star to begin its spread all over the earth and down the annals of time to affect all of mankind. Even the unborn children would be consumed by this darkness; it would move people from what is good and turn them to that, which is evil.

The Bible declares according to the “A” clause Isaiah 60:2 for, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. It is further realized in Matthew 13:14-15;  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

It is very evident that something is wrong as evidenced by the gross miscarriage of justice by the SCOTUS, in 5-4 decision to overturn the will of the people in the political process based on The Constitution of the United States of America. It should come as no surprise to those that are students of the Bible.  Before we arrived at this point in time there was a prophetic voice in the land, and it was foretold that the SCOTUS would be taken over by subversive judges with the own agenda and not the law. The novel entitled “The Illuminati,” is and was that warning, and while some will say that, that book was written as fiction that is true. However, for the savvy reader you could pick out the fact from the fiction, such as pointing out that the tri-lateral commission was responsible for the deaths of President Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy, after all if it were written as a non-fiction it would not have been as successful as it was.

There is definitely a presence over the world and most people have no idea of it, and just tend to go day to day without ever questioning, why things are happening the way that it is. In the movie the creature or BLOB had a weakness; it could not stand against anything cold. Those that were seeking a method to kill or slow the creature’s ascent, realized that if they banned together and put enough CO2 onto the creature stood the chance to win and even destroy it. Putting the plan into action a counter attack was launched, the gas was released, and the BLOB was stopped cold in its tracks frozen even.

014As it pertains to the darkness that now covers the earth, it too was stopped in its tracks, a gas was also used, this gas however, was not man made, it was from heaven and is known as the Holy Spirit. You see everything that is perfect or powerful is numerated by three, as is the Godhead; God the father knew these things would happen, and long before satan could devise a plan to overtake and consume man Jesus, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, was set in place. Time would pass and man would become desperately wicked, but this had to happen to give satan the idea that he was winning as he corrupted the minds of very powerful men. Jesus was born, grown and at age thirty put the long range plan into operation, three years later it was complete as he would be crucified, buried and resurrected with all power. At this point you might be saying well, if satan was defeated, why do we still have evil in the earth? My answer simply is that everything has to run its course, and this particular course is rapidly coming to an end.

With the resurrection of Jesus and ultimately is ascension to the throne, and the promised arrival of the Holy Spirit into the earth, man now has the ability to halt and even neutralize satan’s attempt to mislead, confuse and consume an individual’s life, symbolically freezing him in his tracks. Unlike the movie rushing to an end so that movie goer would go home with a sense of victory over what is evil. Here I’ll have to confer to my own testimony; I once was affected by this darkness and it almost consumed me, but someone introduced me to the Holy Ghost and I was transformed, snatched out of the darkness into the “Light of God,” and my life has never been the same. As you’re reading this blog, understand that no one can make this decision for you. Search your heart and you will hear the still quiet voice of God calling.

Revelation 12:9

King James Version (KJV)

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
