Multi-directionTherefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, 3 diligently keeping the unity of  the Spirit with the peace that binds us.

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s  Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.

14 Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the
waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.

15 But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.
 Ephesians 4:1-3, 13-16

Multi-tasking, multi-directions, doing my own thing; as the song penned by Frank Sinatra suggests, “I Did It My Way”. This is the mantra of many in  the world today. Many seems to think that they can do better individually,  than they can working together with others. Yet, we continue to grow farther apart as the divide widens. Satan has many weapons. He is currently using isolation as a means of further dividing the masses. Have you noticed, that whereas we were once a people concerned about our fellow man, the current spiritual climate we find ourselves in is fragmented and uncaring?

I can recall a time when community was a big thing. We had block parties, neighborhood get-togethers, parties in the park, barbecues, pool parties, it was such fun. We really had a, “lets all just get along” mentality. Today folk are drawn away to themselves and everyone has an iPod, hisPod, mePod, yourPod, Facebook or Twitter mentality, failing to see that forces are working to separate us. We are under attack!!

The US Army has a division known for its deployment of psychological warfare, some of the tactics employed are use of loud music, bright lights, propaganda, leaflets, false information released through media; just to name a few. Isn’t it rather peculiar that  the enemy is attacking man through the same pathways? One can only draw a conclusion that we are at war!

From birth until the day that you take your last breath, fighting will be a part of your life. We can learn how to live peaceably in a hostile environment and this happens when we flood the minefield of life with the Agape love of God. That means, we must learn the art of spiritual warfare; first is humility, second is seeking God for the right direction because there are many paths out there with traps set to lead you astray.  Thirdly too turn away, (repent) from the things that you know are not pleasing to God. These acts make you a vessel ready for a Holy visitation, God sees your heart is turned towards Him and that you are trusting in his ability to deliver you.

You then become marketable for use for the Kingdom of Heaven, it has been done before and can be done again if we simply believe. On the day of Pentecost it was accomplished, on the day that you heard or shall hear it is accomplished. If I can borrow a line spoken in a popular television show of the 80′s ” I love it when a plan comes together”. Teamwork makes the plan work!!
